Privacy Policy
FretWork is built for repair shops by someone who has worked in them. We take data privacy seriously and collect only what we need to provide the Service.
What We Collect
We collect information you provide directly:
- Account information (name, email, shop name) when you sign up
- Customer records you enter (names, contact info, instrument details)
- Ticket data (services, labor, parts, notes, photos)
- Payment information — processed and stored by Stripe, never by FretWork
We also collect limited usage information automatically: page views, feature usage, and error logs. This helps us improve the product.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the FretWork service
- To send transactional emails (ticket confirmations, pickup notifications, receipts)
- To respond to support requests
- To improve the product based on usage patterns
We do not sell your data. We do not use your customer data for advertising.
Data Storage
Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Third-Party Services
FretWork integrates with the following services:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Netlify — hosting and serverless functions.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their use of data.
Your Rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time. To export your shop's data, use the Reports section. To request full account deletion, contact us.
Data Retention
Active account data is retained for the life of your account. If you cancel, your data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
Cookies
FretWork uses minimal cookies required for authentication (Supabase session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you by email. Continued use of FretWork after such notification constitutes acceptance.
